Date: 05/28/2011 Message: Do your part to ban the banding of bird legs. My canary had to have his leg amputated and nearly died. These bands have absolutely no purpose for the millions of purchasers of pet canaries, finches, etc. It's irresponsible of pet stores and breeders to not let purchasers know of the dangers of these bands. Thank you to this site for making mention of these dangers.
